Handmade paper cards

An Indian handicraft company produces this stable cheets of hand made paper from the remnants of cutting out T-Shirt parts, which this cards and the envelopes are made from. The hand made paper is in such a high quality, that it can be written on, without the ink spreads on the paper.
Our filigree motifs are cut into this paper with a laser, and are highlight by the colour-matched paper inserts inside the card. The special feature of these cards is that they are delivered flat, but that individual elements of the motifs can be bent up, and forms by that a relief image. This up bending shoul be done by the shipper before sending the card. Due to the high grammage of the paper, the paper remembers when the card is removed from the envelope by the receiver, so that the elements pop up again and the relief picture becomes visible.
The paper inserts is usually made of recycled paper or, if not otherwise available, at least sustainably produced (the golden ones). The cards are assembled in a workshop for people with disabilities.
Our handmade paper cards are delivered with an envelope, also made of handmade paper, flat packed in a bioplastic film (PLA).
